The objective of this study was to review the literature on the influence of nutrition on Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in children. The research involved a systematic review of articles published between 2019 and 2024, selected from databases such as BVS and PUBMED. The results indicate that nutritional deficiencies, such as a lack of essential vitamins and minerals, are often associated with these disorders. Supplementation with nutrients such as omega- 3 fatty acids, vitamins D, A, and B12, magnesium, and probiotics has shown positive effects, including improvements in symptoms of inattention, hyperactivity, and emotional issues. Additionally, food selectivity, especially in ASD, and inadequate intake of essential nutrients may exacerbate behavioral symptoms. The research suggests that nutritional interventions can complement conventional treatment, improving quality of life and child development, although further studies are needed to determine the most effective approaches. It concludes that nutrition plays a significant role in managing these disorders and is an important component in the multidisciplinary treatment of children with ADHD and ASD.
