Introduction: Accidents caused by these animals are increasingly present in tropical regions, including the state of Tocantins, being an important cause of morbidity and mortality. Under this bias, the objective of the present study is to verify the epidemiological scenario of accidents caused by venomous animals reported in the state of Tocantins between the period 2019 and 2023. Methodology: This is a crosssectional, descriptive survey, with a quantitative approach, mainly, the information was collected in the official SINAN database, through the SUS Information Technology Department (DATASUS). Results: Between the years 2019 and 2023, in the territorial delimitation of Tocantins, 25,097 cases of accidents caused by venomous animals were reported, including scorpions, snakes, bees and spiders in the following order of prevalence in the hottest periods (between January and October). Conclusion: It is evident that the majority of victims were males with low education and presenting a higher percentage of serious cases and deaths in the state, with the majority being illiterate, pointing out the importance of education about the dangerousness of these animals as well as the search for networks of health care. Furthermore, these data prove the relevance of using personal protective equipment for farmers and ranchers.
