Abstract

This study aimed to investigate the relationship between Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE) and the development of developmental disabilities and neurodevelopmental disorders. A quantitative methodology was used, with data analysis collected from interviews and questionnaires applied to a group of children diagnosed with neuropsychiatric disorders. The results indicated that children with a history of ACE showed higher levels of psychological stress and a higher prevalence of developmental disabilities compared to control groups. The study concluded that ACE are significant risk factors for the development of neurodevelopmental disorders, suggesting the need for early interventions to mitigate the impacts of childhood stress.
